About Boating Dynamics
Robby first raced powerboats in 1982, SD class 11 feet 50 Hp Yamaha series
for 3 years, won 2 out of 3 national championship in South Africa. Moved
up to the 16 feet, 115 to 160 Hp SI class series, took 2nd place in 1986
national championship. In 1987 Robby raced the DE or Formula 3 Velaen
Cat powered by Mercury in 1987. Re-modified to an 850CC Yamaha in 1988
Robby took 2nd in the national championship in South Africa and achieved
a silver medal in the South Africa games. Managed Velaen racing team for
Cowiesway Water sports from 1989 to 90. Started inflatable boat racing
in Cape Town South Africa. Raced P750 inflatable with 50 hp Yamaha.
Relocated in America in 1996 and joined NTECH based out of Washington
DC, where he modified Tohatsu and Yamaha to run on JP8 kerosene for the
U.S. Navy. All of the development was at the university of Columbus Ohio.
The requirements also required the engines to be totally submerged. Shortly
after Robby moved to San Diego and joined Blue Porpoise Marine as the
service manager for 5 years. Blue Porpoise Marine closed down and Robby
Gordon started Boating Dynamics.
Robby Gordon founded Boating Dynamics in 2001 to deliver quality marine
workmanship and expert service to the marine customer. Today our service
covers all of the San Diego area. We also have in-house facilities for
the design and fabrication of all marine application from power installation
to custom dash conversions.
